Starting next Tuesday, August 23rd, you may see Davey Tree vehicles in your neighborhood. They will be working in the area for a few days removing dead and dying trees, trimming existing trees damaged by storms or blocking street lights, and replanting trees in some areas.
Please be careful around the workers and their vehicles.
We have added another board meeting on August 2nd to allow the board to more timely approve various projects and architectural requests. The meeting will be held at the Odenton Public Library at 6:30pm on Tuesday, August 2nd. The regularly scheduled board meeting on August 23rd will still occur as planned via Zoom.
We have cancelled tomorrow’s Family Pool Party at the Chapel Grove community pool as a result of the pending rainstorm. We plan to reschedule it for another day this summer, so please stay tuned. We appreciate your patience with the weather.
The Chapel Grove community pool will host a number of events this summer. Please consider joining us for some fun in the sun (or the moon, as the case may be).
Saturday, July 9th: Family Pool Party from 3pm-7pm
Friday, July 15th: Night Swim from 9pm-11pm
Friday, August 5th: Adult Pool Party from 7pm-11pm
Friday, August 19th: Night Swim from 9pm-11pm
We will have lifeguards at each of these events.
The HOA Board wishes everyone in the community a Happy Fourth of July weekend.
We also want to remind everyone that fireworks are not allowed in the Chapel Grove community. We follow Anne Arundel County rules on fireworks, which states “The possession and discharge of fireworks without proper permits is illegal in Anne Arundel County.” You can read more about the firework rules here.
Moreover, given the close proximity of homes in our community, any fireworks can be particularly hazardous to people and property.
If you want to see fireworks, we suggest you visit one of the official firework displays in the area. We want everyone to have a fun and safe holiday weekend.
The next Chapel Grove HOA board meeting will take place on June 28th at 6:30pm via Zoom.
We are using the 2022 Zoom link mailed to home owners earlier. However, if you need the Zoom link, you can find it on the calendar within the Chapel Grove Portal. The calendar is located under the “About Us” tab.
The Chapel Grove pool will reopen to the community on Saturday, May 28th.

We have been working on refreshing the pool area. The exterior of the pool house has been repainted in time for the new pool season, while repairs/improvements to the sidewalks and parking lot are being finalized in the next week. We also have plans to paint and improve the pool house interior in the near future. Finally, new pool furniture is being ordered.
Note: If you have already registered for a pool pass in the last two years, you do not need to re-register. You only need a PIN. Please visit the pool past link above and use the “Registered Previously or Approved” option on the right to request a PIN. You can also download the CellBadge App for Android or IOS to check your registration status.
Update: Regarding our efforts to order and obtain new pool furniture, we expect some delivery delays (as with many items these days). We will keep you posted.
Sorry to do this again, but the expected weather for tomorrow means we will need to move the Chapel Grove yard sale to Saturday, May 21st. The weather has to cooperate one of these Saturdays.
On Thursday (May 12th), workers will start repairs on the sidewalks in the Chapel Grove pool area. The work will take a day or two to complete.
In addition, next Wednesday (May 18th) workers will also be resealing and restriping the Chapel Grove pool parking lot.
Please keep these dates in mind as you travel through the area. All of these repairs are designed to ensure the community is ready for the 2022 pool season.
Due to the rain last weekend, Chapel Grove HOA’s Community Yard Sale has been moved to Saturday, May 14th, from 8am to 12pm. We are hoping the weather will cooperate this time.
You can place items for sale in your own yard/driveway. If you prefer, you may bring your items and set up tables on the sidewalk close to the pool area. We do not believe Piney Orchard HOA will be having a yard sale in the area, so the Lamoka Drive location is no longer an option.
Please be mindful of your neighbors and clean up all items not taken or sold. There will not be a dumpster available, so if you have bulk items to dispose of please contact Anne Arundel Waste Management to schedule bulk item pick up at the following link.
