AA Co. Police say to expect delays on Rt 3 due to Wegman’s Opening

The Anne Arundel County Police Department has an important message for the community!

This Sunday, October 28, 2012 at 7:00am the new Wegman’s in Gambrills opens in the new Waugh Chapel Shopping Center South.

This is an exciting time for many shoppers as some will get their first look at this supermarket. With the grand opening festivities, we expect plenty of people and vehicles in and around the area of Waugh Chapel Village. You should plan accordingly for potential traffic disruption and delays.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department is working hand in hand with Wegman’s management to ensure as minimal disruption as possible, but we do expect some delays. Plenty of police and Wegman’s staff will be on hand to address those concerns.

If you are planning on patronizing Wegman’s this Sunday, remember that there are multiple ways to access the parking lot. Message Boards are set up along the Route 3 corridor to help guide you in should you encounter difficulty.

Together, we can make this a smooth grand opening and minimize any traffic concerns! Thank you and enjoy!
